Vijay Varma stars as the pilot of the aircraft in Netflix's IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack.

Vijay Varma is all set to play one of the toughest roles in Netflix's upcoming show IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack. He will be seen as a pilot who is stuck in the cockpit with two armed terrorists standing behind him while he is trying to find ways to save the lives of 171 passengers on board. Will he succeed in the middle of this hijack and be able to fulfill his responsibility or will he lose hope?
Netflix shared a new promo from the show which shows Vijay's character in a tense situation while he is trying to assure the passengers that he is trying his best to save them all and make sure everyone reaches home safely. He is also seen remembering his wife and kid while he trying to deal with the hard times. The gripping video will surely give you goosebumps and will take you to the hard times that the passengers and the pilot went through during the hijack.
Sharing the promo, Netflix captioned the video: "Duty, responsibility, and getting home to his family. Based on true events - IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack, a limited series, arrives on August 29, only on Netflix."

With IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack, Netflix promised to showcase the harrowing true story of Indian airlines Flight 814 (IC 814), which was hijacked by five terrorists on 24th December 1999, just 40 minutes after taking off from Kathmandu, Nepal.
Besides, Vijay Varma, the series has an ensemble of cast members, including Pankaj Kapoor, Manoj Pahwa, Kumud Mishra, Arvind Swamy, Amrita Puri, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Patralekha, Anupam Tripathi, Kanwaljit Singh, Aditya Srivastava, Sushant Singh, Pooja Gor, Dia Mirza, and Yashpal Sharma.
