Nadaaniyan marked Saif Ali Khan's son Ibrahim Ali Khan's acting debut in Bollywood. The rom-com movie also starred Khushi Kapoor. Even though the film created a significant buzz, it failed to create an impression and received mixed responses on social media. In a new interview, Ibrahim opened up about the criticism and added that social media is a hateful world, and it tries to twist a lot.
In a recent interview with Filmfare, Ibrahim Ali Khan was asked to share his thoughts on Nadaaniyan, which has been getting mixed responses on social media. The actor said that Nadaaniyan was not to be some grand film and was meant to be a sweet, breezy rom-com that you should enjoy on a Friday night, chilling in bed.
"Social media is a hateful world, right now, and they tried to twist it a lot. Sure, as a lead actor, I have to bring in loads more than what I did. I know I can bring it and I am confident that I will bring it in my future projects. But I’m happy with what it was. I worked with hardworking people and we made a sweet film. I get the criticism, but I enjoyed working on it. It was meant to be sweet and breezy. I would say it’s good," Ibrahim added.

Rating himself out of 5, the actor gave 3.5 stars and added, "Don’t fly too high but don’t diss yourself either."
Reacting to the mixed responses of Nadaaniyan, Ibrahim mentioned that most of them are bad because that’s just how social media works. But he feels glad that a lot of people can see what he may be able to bring to the table. "I’m happy with the response I got from the film industry. I’m quite pleased," he said.
During a recent conversation with Times Now, Sharmila Tagore shared her review of her grandson's film, Nadaaniyan.
The veteran actress said that even though the film was not good, Ibrahim looked handsome. "These things shouldn’t really be said in front of everyone, but honestly, the picture isn’t great. Ultimately, the picture has to be good," Tagore added.
The Netflix rom-com movie follows Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor as a middle-class student, Arjun and a rich South Delhi girl, Pia. The story revolves around Pia's plan to maintain her social status and how their fake relationship turns into reality, leading to complications and misunderstandings.
