Lokesh Kanagaraj, whose latest offering, Vikram, starring Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil, has just hit screens, has stated in an interview that he would love to work with Thalapathy Vijay in many more films. The duo had earlier teamed up for the action entertainer Master, in which Vijay shared screenspace with Vijay Sethupathi.
When quizzed about working with Vijay once again, Lokesh stated in the interview with Indiaglitz, "I will be the happiest to join hands with Vijay anna again. Not just for another, but for many more films. The one thing I have noticed among all these stars, be it Kamal sir or Vijay anna, is that despite being on top of their game and reaching great heights in their career, they are so humble. I sometimes wonder how do they stay so humble? Working with Vijay anna is a cakewalk for me. Working with him brings me a lot of happiness," he said.
Lokesh will be teaming up with Vijay once again for the film which is tentatively beign referred to as Thalapathy67. The shoot for the film is expected to begin by the end of the year and the latest we hear is that Samantha is likely to be roped in as the leading lady of the film. Interestingly, Samantha and Vijay have worked in a number of films including Theri, Mersal and Kaththi. Samantha is currently working on Kushi opposite Vijay Deverakonda. Her last release in Tamil was Vignesh Shivan's Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal, which had her sharing screenspace with Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara.
In the meantime, Vijay is busy working on his next, tentatively referred to as Thalapathy66, directed by Vamsi Paidipally. We hear that the team is all set to begin the third schedule of the film in Chennai. Vijay is said to be playing a dual role in the film. Rashmika Mandanna is playing the leading lady. Music is by Thaman.
