The Kannada film industry is currently encountering an influx of exciting content that ranges from massive productions to niche and more personal films of a smaller scale. Thurthu Nirgamana is one such case in point, mostly belonging to the latter category, which came as an interesting take on the under-explored concept of mortality (in the garb of science fiction) and helped the industry push the envelope further. Acknowledging this, filmmaker Hemanth M. Rao, who himself has striven hard over the years to cater to the newer Kannada cinema audience, has come out appreciating the efforts of team Thurthu Nirgamana and has also urged the same audience to give the film a sincere try.

“Any filmmaker worth his salt strives to create that theatrical experience and @hemanthkumar_11 has done exactly that. I have known Hemanth for a long time. He was an extremely integral member of the #GodhiBanna team. #ThurthuNirgamana is his debut film,” wrote Hemanth M. Rao in his series of tweets. The Sapta Sagaradaache Ello director added that Thurthu Nirgmana brims with great moments, superb making, and some fabulous performances and that the film strives to push the envelope as far as Kannada cinema is concerned.

“If you have previously liked 'different' content in Kannada. Book your tickets now for #ThurthuNirgamana, I promise, it will be worth the effort & it will go a LONG WAY in deciding what kind of content can get made in the future,” added Hemanth Rao.

Thurthu Nirgamana has been written and directed by debutant Hemanth Kumar L and stars Sunil Raoh, Samyuktha Hegde, Hitha Chandrashekar, Achyuth Kumar, Sudharani, and others. Hemanth Kumar has previously worked as a co-director on Hemanth M. Rao’s debut feature Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu which starred Rakshit Shetty, Anant Nag, and Sruthi Hariharan.

Hemanth Rao, on the other hand, is currently busy with his third feature Sapta Sagaraadache Ello (along with Rakshit Shetty and Rukmini Vasanth), and will be embarking on a long schedule that is expected to last over 50 days.
