Last year, Amazon Prime Video unveiled its all women's show Hush Hush on International Women's Day. The project drew viewers' interest right away, thanks to a strong ensemble cast including Juhi Chawla, Soha Ali Khan, Shahana Goswami, Kritika Kamra, Ayesha Jhulka, and Karishma Tanna, as well as creative director-executive producer Tanuja Chandra.
For Soha, collaborating with an all-female crew has been a new experience. Speaking about the same, the actor told Mid-Day that she had a lovely experience with Tanuja and recalled that this was the first time she worked with a female.
Hush Hush is directed by Kopal Nathani and written by National Award-winning writer Juhi Chaturvedi. The series features six women telling their stories of passion, rage, and deception.
According to Soha, women bringing their interpretations to the film is quite refreshing. The actor said that Hush Hush is a gritty and true story.
She revealed that they would frequently wear the same outfits for days on end and go without makeup. They also had to show our true feelings, so it was a physically and emotionally gruelling shoot for them.
Soha also said that the series forced her to empty herself in a manner that she hadn't done in a long time as an actor.
With this series, Chawla and Jhulka make their OTT debut. The Rang De Basanti actor revealed that it was her first time working with Juhi, but they didn't have a lot of scenes together.
Whereas Kritika, Shahana, and her character are the primary characters in the series, which helped the dynamics as they are good friends off-screen too.
Meanwhile, Soha made her OTT debut with the ZEE5 original series, Kaun Banegi Shikharwati. The series also features Naseeruddin Shah, Lara Dutta, Kritika, and Anya Singh in the lead roles.
The actor's last movie outing was Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster 3, released in 2018.
