The makers of Malayalam upcoming film, Hunt, confirmed a theatrical release date. The horror thriller will hit the big screens on August 9. The movie’s teaser was released last week, giving a glimpse into the plot. Similar to the previously unveiled trailer, the most recent video portrays Bhavana as a forensic expert who looks into numerous homicides.

All about Bhavana’s Hunt

The movie follows Dr Keerthy when she accepts a case at a medical school that turns out to be more complicated than she had anticipated. Additionally, the teaser implies that Bhavana's character encounters paranormal activity on campus.

Hunt, which is directed by Shaji Kailas, was written by Nikhil Anand. After working together on Chinthamani Kolacase, which is currently available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar, the director and Bhavana are collaborating again on this movie. The 2006 movie, starring Bhavana, Thilakan and Suresh Gopi, tells the tale of a criminal lawyer and his approach to the law enforcement.

In addition, Hunt features Rahul Madhav, Biju Pappan, Nandhu, Vijayakumar, Anu Mohan, G Suresh Kumar, Chandhunadh, Dain Davis, and Renji Panikkar. Kailas Menon is in charge of the music for the movie. The movie is produced by K Radhakrishnan under the auspices of Goodwill Entertainment.

Malayalam films slated to release in August

Unlike July, August features a number of intriguing Malayalam films that are scheduled for release in theatres. August will see the release of Girish AD's film I Am Kathalan on the state's big screens. August 2 is set aside for the theatrical premiere of Manju Warrier's Footage. This movie, which also stars Gayathri Ashok and Vishak Nair, is credited as being the first Malayalam found-footage production.

Both Vinay Forrt's horror drama Chithini and Asif Ali's comedy Adios Amigo will be shown in theatres on the same day. On August 17, the popular psychological horror thriller Manichitrathazhu, starring Mohanlal and Shobana, will return to theatres. Vineeth Sreenivasan's film Oru Jaathi Jathakam will be released on big screens on August 22.
