The Indian superhero Krrish is all set to return to our screens as Hrithik Roshan announced the fourth instalment of the franchise.

Hrithik Roshan’s superhero film Krrish that also starred Priyanka Chopra, clocked 15 years on Wednesday. On the occasion, Hrithik took to social media to announce the much awaited fourth instalment in the franchise, Krrish 4. On his social media handles, the Kaabil actor shared a short clip to make it official that Krrish will be returning with its fourth part.
Sharing the clip, Hrithik wrote, “The past is done. Let’s see what the future brings. #15YearsOfKrrish #Krrish4.” The 15-sec clip saw his Krrish avatar throwing away his signature black mask at the screen, whilst celebrating 15 years of the second film in the franchise that was released back in 2006.
The second film in the franchise, Krrish was directed by Rakesh Roshan. Its prequel film, Koi Mil Gaya set up the back story of Rohit Mehra who attains superhuman abilities as a gift after befriending a stranded alien, Jadoo. Inheriting his father's powers in the second instalment, his son Krishna Mehra struggles to keep his superhero alter ego Krrish in check. However, circumstances force him to reveal his identity in order to save the world.
Alongside Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra Jonas also starred in the hit film, taking up the role of his love interest. Earlier in the day, Priyanka's team also celebrated 15 years to the film with a social media post. Sharing stills from the film, the caption read, “The film that we fell in love with 15 years ago & celebrate even now! It’s #15YearsOfKrrish today, a movie high on action, romance & emotions.”
Krrish is one of the most successful Indian films in the superhero genre. Giving audiences an Indian superhero to drool over, the movie is available to stream on SonyLiv.
