For all of the lovers of the Housefull franchise, Sajid Nadiadwala has some very exciting news. The fifth instalment of the Housefull film franchise is almost ready to go into production, which will make it the first franchise film in the history of Indian cinema to feature more than four sequels.
Akshay Kumar broke the news and also unveiled the official poster revealing the movie's release date, which in turn sparked waves of anticipation among the audience.
Tarun Mansukhani will be the director of Housefull 5, which is due out in 2024. The film is all prepared to light up on Diwali with the promise of a wild ride filled with fun, entertainment, and comedy that will leave you in fits of laughter.
In addition to Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh, there will be a host of other well-known actors appearing in the film.
The Tarun Mansukhani-directed and Sajid Nadiadwala-produced Housefull 5 will premiere on Diwali in 2024.
All the Housefull films feature Akshay Kumar and Ritesh Deshmukh. Sajid Khan helmed the first two films in the series, Housefull and Housefull 2. Sajid-Farhad directed the third film, Housefull 3, while Farhad Samji helmed the fourth film, Housefull 4.
Sajid Nadiadwala's company, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, is responsible for producing the show.
The plots of successive films are completely independent of those of their predecessors. But the tone and tempo are the same as before.
For the first time, Tarun Mansukhani is directing a movie that is not from Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. The filmmaker gained popularity with his directorial debut, Dostana (2008), starring Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham, and Priyanka Chopra Jonas in the lead roles.
He has also directed Drive, the heist film starring the late Sushant Singh Rajput and Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead roles.
