The much-awaited trailer, House of the Dragon season 2’s trailer, is finally out. The makers have released two trailers, one for House Black and the other for House Green. It is now time for you to pick between Alicent or Rhaenyra as the ultimate queen. The second season will begin where the first ended and things are sure to get more intense than ever.

The trailers

The second season of House of the Dragons will commence on June 16. You need to pick between House Black’s Rhaenyra (played by Milly Alcock) or House Green’s Alicent (Emily Carey). This season will begin with the Dance of the Dragons, which is also known as the Targaryen civil war.

About the second season

The second season of House of the Dragons is likely to have eight episodes, contrary to the first season which had 10 episodes in total. The original cast, apart from Milly and Emily, consists of Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Eve Best, Steve Toussaint, Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney and Sonoya Mizuno. They will be back in this season. As per Variety, some new faces will be introduced in the second season. They include Abubakar Salim as Alyn of Hull, Gayle Rankin as Alys Rivers, Freddie Fox as Ser Gwayne Hightower, and Simon Russell Beale as Ser Simon Strong.

The season, helmed by Ryan Condal, will premiere in India on June 17. It will be available on Jio Cinema for streaming.

Will there be more seasons?

George R. R. Martin, the original writer of the novel named Game of Thrones, went on to tease about a third and fourth season of the show. In his blog, he wrote about having discussions with Ryan on the same. Thus, there will be more seasons of this show.

Apart from the third and fourth seasons, we will see another prequel of Game of Thrones, in the form of The Hedge Knight. There are also reports that the makers are toying with the idea to bring back Kit Harington as Jon Snow through another sequel. However, there is no official confirmation on either at this point of time.
