After lots of speculations, HBO unveiled the striking motion-posters on December 1, which feature Emma D'Arcy as Rhaenyra Targaryen and Olivia Cooke as Alicent Hightower, and the taglines on the posters – "blood for blood" and "fire to fire” are hinting fans to get ready to witness some never--seen-before chaos, jealousy, and rivalry in Season 2.
About House of the Dragon Season 2
After Season 1's shocking end, the rivalry between Rhaenyra Targaryen, the Iron Throne's rightful heir, and Alicent Hightower, the queen and mother of the king's trueborn son, has reached a boiling point. Now HBO Max has finally dropped the much awaited teaser trailer of Season 2, at Brazil’s CCXP event. It time travels us back to Westeros, two-hundred years before Daenerys Targaryen's rise to power. While getting delved deeper into the Targaryen dynasty's history, you can once again encounter Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith) and Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D'Arcy) as they engage in a fierce battle for control of Westeros's territories, following the shocking events of the Season 1 finale.
Season 2 Adaptation
This Season 2 of House of the Dragon is adapted from George R. R. Martin’s Fire & Blood book, which was published in 2018. When House of the Dragon debuted in 2022, it was the most streamed series with 10 million viewers, marking HBO’s the biggest series in history.
House of the Dragon Season 2 will be released in early Summer 2024 only on HBO Max.
