The way House of the Dragon Season 2 is progressing at this point is pretty wild because there is so much happening that keeping track is almost impossible, and you will need to revise. The chaos that was once just in the idea of war and the minds of those fighting it is now on the screen and in the streets of Westeros. People have lost faith in Aemond, Aegon, and Alicent and are now revolting against them. Rhaenyra has cleverly played the game of winning their confidence by sending them livestock (how did the waves not take away half the boats? That's for the production team to figure out). The Blacks and the Greens are now fully at loggerheads because everyone has their reason for this war to happen. Episode 5 made it clear that Aemond seeks power, and Rhaenyra seeks new dragon riders.

Episode 6 of House of the Dragon Season 2 comes in with the very two things they both wanted. We meet Aemond in the Small Council as he practices his power and behaves like a completely spoiled brat. He is not ready to give his mother, Alicent, even a chance to speak, and worse, he kicks her out of the council in the next moment. He also checks if Aegon remembers anything from the day he grilled him with dragon fire just to be sure if he wants him alive or dead. Rhaenyra, on the other hand, is busy finding dragon riders because the existing ones she has do not stand a chance against Vhagar.

Episode 6 is so much about the preparation for the war that the audience feels like one of the small folks running from post to post just to have some food before the war strikes. They have seen their God being slain and her head paraded through the streets of King's Landing. Adding to it, Aemond has cut their livestock, and Rhaenyra has jumped into the opportunity to provide them with resources. She has found her place in their hearts again, and this means the foundation of the Red Keep is now shaken. In Dragonstone, Seasmoke has made it clear that no one can dictate terms to him, and he writes his rider contracts himself. He flies to the beach and locates one for himself.

To give you some insight, only the Targaryens and the Velaryons can be dragon riders. However, there is a loophole in the system: people who are half-born Targaryens or Velaryons can also be considered to fly dragons. People with a mother or father who is either a Targaryen or Velaryon are called Dragonseeds.

So now, as Seasmoke is on the beach, he spots Addam of Hull and starts chasing him. Addam runs into the forest but to no avail because Seasmoke is not following any commands at the moment. They come face to face, and rather than burning him, Seasmoke goes close to Addam. Seasmoke has a rider now. This raises a big question: who exactly is Addam of Hull? The following episodes will indeed clarify this big doubt. If the books are anything to go by, Addam will join Rhaenyra against the Greens.

However, what is more shocking is what is happening on Dragonstone. We see Mysaria telling her story of survival and how her father was the first man to betray her. The story moves Rhaenyra, who is now looking at a vulnerable woman who also happens to be her biggest support at the moment. They hug each other, and the next thing we know, they kiss. Well, there is no idea where this plot goes ahead, but there will be something big.
