Hot Spot, the recently released Tamil film, written and directed by filmmaker Vignesh Karthick, is set to have its digital premiere soon. The Tamil film will be available for streaming on Aha Tamil and Prime Video from May 17, the makers announced recently on social media.

Hot Spot, written and directed by filmmaker Vignesh Karthick, was released in theatres on March 29. He has earlier made films such as Aishwarya Rajesh-starrer Plan B and GV Prakash Kumar’s Adiyae. Hot Spot marks his third directorial and will be available for streaming on Aha Tamil and Prime Video from May 17. The film stars Gouri K Kishnan, Adithya Bhaskar, Sandy, Janani, Ammu Abhirami, Kalaiyarasan and others. Vignesh Karthick also plays a small role in Hot Spot.
Hot Spot is a hyperlink story that gives out four different situations involving people from different walks of life as they confront a problem that is posed by society. Ranging from the changed lives of a newly married couple, to how society treats children, and how preconceived notions can dictate an individual’s actions, Hot Spot throws light on some pertinent topics.
While Kalaiyarasan and Sophie play husband and wife, Adithya and Gouri play a couple about to get married. Sandy and Ammu Abhirami appear in one segment, while Subhash and Janani appear in another. The film is shot by cinematographer Gokul Benoy. The music is scored by Satish Raghunathan and Vaan with Muthayan U editing the film. Hot Spot is jointly produced by Suresh Kumar, Gokul Benoy and Balamanimardhan.
In an earlier conversation with OTTplay, director Vignesh Karthick had said that he has a total of eight stories, out of which four made it to Hot Spot. He had said that if the film became successful, a sequel would be made with the remaining four stories. However, there has been no update so far.
