Hostel Hudugaru Bekagiddare new single: Ajaneesh Loknath & Co. bang out new Gen Z anthem

Hostel Hudugaru Bekagiddare arrives in theatres on July 21 with a lot of expectations as the audiences look forward to an authentic experience on the big screen. The film, judging by the trailer and the other promotional content, brims with both novelty and a kind of exuberant energy that one is likely to find missing in Kannada cinema till now. 

The young team, led by director Nithin Krishnamurthy, has already made a mark on the audience with its inventive promotional strategy which includes several comical promo videos featuring some of the biggest names in the industry such as Puneeth Rajkumar, Kiccha Sudeep, Rishab Shetty, Pawan Kumar, Diganth Manchale and Ramya. Another example of their creativity is the new single named Boys Sarigilla, which was dropped earlier today, July 19.

This anthem-like number comes as a lyrical video with some really impressive digital illustration/animation work which is intercut with behind-the-scenes footage of how it all was executed. Ajaneesh B. Loknath's foot-tapping composition is perfectly complemented by Trilok Trivikrama's lyrics which capture the true essence of hostel life - the haphazardness, the chaos, the vibrancy, you name it. 

The comments on YouTube, too, echo this sentiment with several internet users sharing that the song rekindles their own memories of hostel or campus life. Ajaneesh Loknath has also sung the Boys Sarigilla single. 

Not many would know that the core team members of Hostel Hudugaru Bekagiddare were first acquainted with one another on the sets of Lucia, more than a decade ago. The film has been produced by Nithin Krishnamurthy, Varun Kumar Gowda, Prajwal BP (one of the main cast members) and Arvind Kashyap (also the DOP) under the Gulmohar Films and Varrun Studios banners. Rakshit Shetty presents the film under his home banner of Paramvah Studios.
