In a bittersweet moment for K-drama fans across the globe as it was announced that the popular series Hospital Playlist is all set to air the final episode of its latest season. The cast completed filming for the final two episodes of the season on September 6, and the season finale will premiere on September 16. Indian viewers can watch the show on Netflix.
According to Pinkvilla, the cast of the popular South Korean drama are also set to make an appearance on a project headlined by Na Young Seok PD, a popular producer of a variety show, giving a respite to fans who might have a hard time letting The 99s go.
This will not be the first time the stars have teamed up with the producer. They had previously featured in the latter’s series on Youtube called Wise Camping Life: Hospital Playlist Goes Camping where fans got to witness the beloved group outside of their accustomed hospital-themed environment.
With Shin Won Ho in the director’s chair, the 2020 drama Hospital Playlist tells the tale of five doctors, who have been close friends ever since meeting in medical school in the year 1999, hence the name The 99s.
The show was lauded in its first season, becoming a hit among critics and fans alike for its exceptional portrayal of the human element of the medical profession. Not surprisingly, it has found its place among the highest-rated Korean dramas of all time. Jo Jung-suk, Yoo Yeon-seok, Jung Kyung-ho, Kim Dae-myung and Jeon Mi-do star in the show.
