There are a few films in Telugu that do not click when they come out in theaters. Much after their release is done and they end up ending as big flops, a few films land on OTT and end up with solid hits. There have been so many films in that category and one such film which has made heads turn on OTT is Hebah Patel's Honeymoon Express.
The romantic drama did not get a proper release and failed at the box office despite having a bold and contemporary subject. But the moment it landed on Amazon Prime Video, Honeymoon Express made heads turn. As per the latest update, Honeymoon Express has clocked 40 million streaming minutes in just a few days of its release.
Honeymoon Express had Chaitanya Rao and Hebah Patel in lead roles and is about a couple who is on the verge of having a divorce. They go to a resort and rekindle their marriage. How all this happens is showcased in a very interesting manner. Suhasini Mani Ratnam and Tanikella Bharani played key roles in this film which was directed by Bala Rajasekharuni.
The chemistry and performances of Chaitanya Rao and Hebah Patel are being loved on OTT. There are a lot of steamy scenes in the film which is also one of the reasons, the film is doing well on Amazon Prime. Honeymoon Xpress was produced by KKR and Bal Raj. Yet another reason for the film's success is the solid music by Kalyani Malik.
The film has cinematography by Sistla VMK. Honeymoon Express started streaming on Amazon Prime on August 27, 2024, and clocking 40 million views and trending on Amazon Prime is no mean feat as the film does not have any big names in the cast.
Hebah Patel, who was looking for a hit has received that in the form of Honeymoon Express that has worked on OTT. The makers are not at all complaining and are happy with their film's response and say that their film has found its proper audience at last.
