Honey Singh and Shah Rukh Khan collaborated on the Chennai Express song Lungi Dance in 2013. The song became an instant hit and is still one of the popular tracks among fans. However, there is a rumor that SRK 'slapped' the rapper for misbehaving at a concert in the United States decades ago. In his recent Netflix documentary, Yo Yo Honey Singh: Famous, Honey made shocking revelations while addressing a few rumors about his personal and professional life.
A long time back, rumors surfaced that Shah Rukh Khan 'slapped' Honey Singh for misbehaving during a concert in the US, which allegedly resulted in stitches on his head. Dismissing these rumors, Honey Singh clarified that he had injured himself with a mug after shaving his head.
Explaining the real incident, Singh added that when they took him to Chicago for the show, he did not want to perform. He was sure that he was going to die during that show. When everyone told him that he should get ready, the rapper refused.
"My managers came over, and they said, ‘Why aren’t you getting ready?’ I said, ‘I’m not going’. I went to the washroom, took a trimmer, and I shaved my hair off. I said, ‘How will I perform now?’ They said, ‘Wear a cap and perform’. There was a coffee mug lying there. I picked it up and smashed it on my head," he added.
Brushing off the rumors, Honey Singh further added, "Someone started the rumor that Shah Rukh Khan slapped me. That man loves me; he’ll never raise his hand on me."
In the docu-series, Honey's sister also recalled the incident and said that he was immediately needed to be back in India.
"He messaged me saying something wasn’t right... he asked me to come on Skype. When we connected, he pleaded, ‘Mujhe please bacha lo, Gudiya, mujhe please bacha le’, and then he disconnected," she said.
