Hit List is written and directed by Sooryakathir Kaakkallar and K Karthikeyan, erstwhile assistants of veteran filmmaker KS Ravikumar. After its theatrical run, the film is available for streaming on Aha Tamil and OTTplay Premium.
Hit List is an action thriller revolving around a man who practises non-violence. However, after a mysterious man holds his mother and daughter as hostages, he is forced to adhere to his orders, including murdering people. The rest of the story involves how the man saves his family, while getting to know the true intentions of the mysterious man and why he is targeting his family. The film was released in theatres on May 31. Sarathkumar plays the role of a cop who has to track down the mysterious caller before the case gets out of hand.
The film is backed by veteran director KS Ravikumar under his banner RK Celluloids. It marks Vijay Kanishka's, son of veteran filmmaker Vikraman, debut acting role. Apart from him and Sarathkumar, the film also stars Samuthirakani, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Munishkanth, Redin Kingsley, Sithara, Smruthi Venkat, Aishwarya Dutta and others.

Sooryakathir Kaakkallar has also written the screenplay and dialogue for the film, with Devaraj penning the story. The technical crew consists of music by C Sathya, with K Ramcharan handling the cinematography. The film is edited by John Abraham. Hit List opened to mixed reviews upon its release.
Hit List is the recent addition to Aha Tamil's Tamil catalog of films released in 2024.
