Hisaab Barabar: Kirti Kulhari admits it was 'little intimidating' to work with R Madhavan; 'He is someone who will...'

Kirti Kulhari teamed up with R Madhavan for the first time on a project. The duo will be seen in director Ashwni Dhir's upcoming film, Hisaab Barabar. The movie is set for an OTT release on ZEE5. In a recent interview, Kirti revealed what attracted her to doing the comedy thriller. The actress mentioned that she loved the concept of bank scam with comedy revolving around them. She also shared her experience working with R Madhavan in the film.

Kirti Kulhari opened up about playing the role of a cop in Hisaab Barabar. She also admitted she was intimated by R Madhavan while working with him.

"It was a little intimidating. I used to think I was always well-prepared for a project and learned my dialogues. But Maddy is someone who will recite all the dialogues in a go while you just stand there. I found him effortless. Not only does he remember all his lines but on [action], he would get into it and on cut, would be out of it. He would say the lines in a real tone, cutting all the filmines," the actress told Mid-Day.

The actress added that she enjoyed working with Madhavan. According to Kirti, the actor can switch off and focus on what he needs to do. "He is detached, anything could be happening around him but he wouldn't be affected," she added.

In Hisaab Barabar, Kirti Kulhari plays the role of a cop named P Shubhash. The actress said her character's name is a great combination of being feminine and at the same being strong and masculine. "She is an empowered woman," shared Kulhari.

Also starring Neil Nitin Mukesh and Rashami Desai in key roles, Hisaab Barabar is scheduled to premiere on ZEE5 on January 24, 2025. You can also watch the film with your OTTplay Premium subscription.
