Hidimba: First look of Ashwin Babu’s action movie is out

The title and first look poster of Ashwin Babu’s new movie, Hidimba, was revealed on the young actor’s birthday this Sunday. Directed by Anil Krishna Kanneganti, the poster of the film suggests that it’s an action movie. 

Ashwin Babu, who seems to have gone for a makeover can be seen in the poster in a gritty avatar with blood dripping from his forehead as he gears up for a fight. There are also scars that are visible on the title. 

Hidimba, is a powerful demon king mentioned in the Mahabharata who lived in the forest , and going from the poster, the movie will look to justify the title. The production of the movie is underway and the makers have completed a large portion of its shoot. 

Bankrolled by Gangapatnam Sridhar under the banner of Sri Vignesh Karthik Cinemas, Hidimba is directed by Anil Krishna Kanneganti who previously helmed Asadhyudu starring Nandamuri Kalyan Ram and Run starring Sundeep Kishan. B Rajasekar is the director of photography for the movie and Vikas Badisa is its music director. 

Hidimba will see Nandita Swetha painting up with the young and upcoming actor. The movie also features Sriniva Reddy, Sanjay Swaroop, Sahithi Avancha, Vidylekha Raman, Shubaleka Sudhakar Raghu Kunche, Rajiv Kanakala and others. 

Ashwin Babu is the brother of director and TV anchor Omkar and has starred in movies like Jatha Kalise, Naanna Nenu Naa Boyfriends, Raju Gari Gadhi and Raju Gari Gadhi 2. The movie’s lead actress Nandita Swetha is known for her roles in movies like Ethir Neechal, Prema Katha Chitram and Nenjam Marappathillai.
