Nani, who scored one of the biggest hits of his career with his pan-Indian release Dasara this March, is working against time to wrap up his family drama Hi Nanna as per schedule. The film, that marks the directorial debut of Shoryuv, is gearing up for a release this December 21. Mrunal Thakur has come on board as the female lead. Kushi fame Hesham Abdul Wahab scores the music for the same.
While Baby Kiara Khanna is cast as Nani’s on-screen daughter in Hi Nanna, the film features two other big names - Shruti Haasan and Niharika Konidela in pivotal roles. The intense emotional drama is jointly produced by Mohan Cherukuri (CVM) and Dr Vijender Reddy Teegala under Vyra Entertainments (who’re also bankrolling Varun Tej’s Matka with Karuna Kumar).
Meanwhile, the makers shared a new update about the film’s progress today. A new schedule of the film has kickstarted amidst scenic locales in Coonoor. Nani is staring into the abyss while wearing a sweater in an eye-pleasing shoot location. “Hi…. from the sets of #HiNanna..Kickstarting the new schedule in the lush beauty of Coonoor. Get ready for a musical extravaganza coming your way!” the production house wrote.
Hi Nanna will be releasing in five languages later this year - Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi. Sanu John Varughese ISC is the cinematographer for the film while Avinash Kolla is the production designer and Praveen Anthony is the editor respectively. Satish EVV is the executive producer and Sheetal Sharma is the costume designer.
Dasara, Nani’s earlier film, is currently streaming on Netflix. Earlier today, the ‘Natural’ star congratulated the team of Kushi by adding, “Congratulations to dear @TheDeverakonda and @Samanthaprabhu2 on the big success of #Kushi and to our @ShivaNirvana. #HeshamAbdulWahab for a great debut in telugu cinema @MythriOfficial.
