Hi Nanna: Nani, Mrunal Thakur are smitten by one another in Samayama, a duet

Nani, who began the year on an optimistic note with Dasara, hopes to bid goodbye to 2023 in style with the December 21 release Hi Nanna. The emotional drama has him paired opposite Mrunal Thakur. Mohan Cherukuri and Vijender Reddy Teegala are producing the film under Vyra Entertainments. After multiple promos, the makers launched the drama’s first single Samayama today.

Sharing the song to his followers, Nani wrote, “Samayama from #HiNanna. My gut feeling says it’s our new loop song :)” Hesham Abdul Wahab, who delivered a fabulous album, is composing the music for the much-anticipated project. Anurag Kulkarni and Sithara Krishnakumar have crooned for the number lyricised by Anantha Sriram. The track is a fast-paced duet with a classical touch.

The composition of Hi Nanna is quite unique. It starts off with Anurag Kulkarni’s jubilant rendition, his vocal range soars in the higher notes and just when we get used to the song’s momentum, Sithara’s earthy voice provides a humbling classical twist to the number. Nani and Mrunal Thakur share terrific on-screen chemistry in the song shot amidst surreal locations.

‘Samayama..Bhale Saayam Chesavamma Ottugaa..Kanulake..Thana Roopannandinchaave Guttuga..Hoo Idhi Saripoda..,’ the song has such an enthusiastic pallavi, with catchy lines, sweeping you off your feet. The surreal visuals, equally impressive choreography complement the song’s appeal and it’s just the ideal song for team Hi Nanna to kickstart their promotional campaign.

Bosco Martis has choreographed the song. Baby Kiara Khanna, Shruti Haasan, Niharika Konidela play other crucial roles in Hi Nanna. Sanu John Varghese cranks the camera for the same while Praveen Anthony is the editor. Avinash Kolla is the production designer. Nagendra Kasi writes the dialogues for the film and Vijay, Pruthvi are the stunt directors.
