Tiger Shroff’s latest release, Heropanti 2 hit the theatres recently. Though the film has failed to impress the audience and has not had the biggest numbers to show at the box office, it was still trending on social media. Shooting the action film was a big challenge. Director Ahmed Khan shared that the actor’s costumes used to constantly rip due to all the high-flying action sequences.

The filmmaker recently appeared on The Kapil Sharma Show to promote the film. Speaking about the film shoot, he said, “Even if we gave Tiger an eight-way stretching elastic material, it would wear off. Even if I thought of an action stunt, the suit and pants would tear in rehearsals itself. Thank god we had more ready.”

The director added that most people would not be able to move their body wearing such tight-fitted suits, pants, coat and tie, but the actor would perform kicks, splits and backflips in them.

The show’s special episode was attended by Tiger, Khan, along with other actors, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Tara Sutaria, and music composer, A.R. Rahman. Siddiqui plays the main antagonist in the movie, while Sutaria plays the female lead.

The movie hit theatres along with Ajay Devgn’s Runway 34 on April 29, but received negative reviews. “Heropanti 2 is a movie that works on cringe-worthy and unrealistic action scenes. In the times when content is the king, Heropanti 2 is a sheer disappointment. While the dialogues of the film will make you go 'whistle baja', the makers appeared to have made the movie to only attract trolls and memes.” reads a part of the movie’s review on OTTplay.

The movie has managed to collect only Rs. 4. 25 crore on Sunday, falling behind KGF: Chapter 2 and Runway 34, which made Rs. Rs. 11. 25 crore and Rs. 7.25 crore respectively.

The movie is now available in theatres around the country.
