Even as Ajith's next outing, AK 61 (tentative title) directed by H Vinoth, is yet to be complete, fans are curious about AK 62, which was announced a while ago. Vignesh Shivan will be directing the movie which will be bankrolled by Lyca Productions. AK 61, which is being produced by Boney Kapoor, is expected to hit the screens for Deepavali.
A few pictures of Ajith's bike trip in the UK have been going viral on social media, and AK 62 is trending crazy like never before on Twitter. According to an article that appeared in TOI, the star will join AK 62 after he wraps up his international tour that is slated to happen in August and September.
If AK 61 manages to release this year, it will be after three years that Ajith would have two releases in the same year. In 2019, Viswasam (streaming on Amazon Prime Video) and Nerkonda Paarvai (streaming on Zee5) released within a span of a few months.
At the recent audio launch of Veetla Vishesham, another film which Boney bankrolled, the veteran producer hinted at the Ajith-starrer making it to the screens this year itself.
AK 62 marks the first collaboration between Ajith and Vignesh; the latter had penned lyrics for a couple of songs in the star's last outing Valimai (streaming on Zee5) which released earlier this year. The untitled movie is also the actor's first project with Lyca Productions.
The film has been riding on high expectations ever since it was announced by the production house. The most-wanted music composer of Kollywood now, Anirudh, has been roped in as the music director of the project. The details of its cast and crew is likely to be announced after the release of AK 61.
