Actor-filmmaker-choreographer Prabhu Deva has been signing movies back-to-back as an actor in recent times. He currently has more than half-a-dozen projects in his kitty. The most-expected among them is Bagheera which has been directed by Adhik Ravichandran. The film has piqued the curiousity of Tamil movie lovers ever since it was announced.

Its trailer was released almost a year ago, and there has been no update on the project till today. But the makers are now cashing in on the postponement of Vikram-starrer Cobra. Though an official announcement is still awaited on the change in plans of team Cobra, it looks like it is more or less confirmed.

The makers of Bagheera have now announced that the film will hit the screens on August 11, the date on which Cobra was supposed to release in theatres. They have unveiled a new poster of the movie as well. The project will be Prabhu Deva's third release this year after Theal (streaming on Disney+ Hotstar) and My Dear Bootham (streaming soon on Zee5).

Bagheera has six female leads, namely Amyra Dastur, Janani, Gayathrie, Sakshi Agarwal, Sanchita Shetty and Ramya Nambeesan. Sonia Agarwal, Sai Kumar, Nasser, Pragathi and Yashika Anand among others are said to be essaying notable characters in the film.

One of the highlights of Bagheera is expected to be the performance of Prabhu as a psycho. He has sported multiple looks for the first time in his career. These aspects, apart from the unadulterated use of cuss words by Amyra in its trailer, garnered enough buzz for the movie among film lovers.

Ganesan Sekar has composed music for the project which has cinematography handled jointly by Selva Kumar SK and Abinandhan. Rajasekar and Anbariv have composed stunt choreography while Ruben has been in charge of editing.
