As they departed toward the setting sun, they held hands. The thriller Haseen Dillruba (2021), starring Taapsee Pannu and Vikrant Massey, finished there. Since then, rumours of a sequel have been circulating. In a series of tweets, producers Aanand L. Rai and Kanika Dhillon revealed in January this year that Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba would include Sunny Kaushal as a new addition.
The Shiddat actor is overjoyed to be a part of the thriller genre that he grew up reading about in books. Sunny told Mid Day that he enjoyed reading those murder mysteries because of the vivid worlds and people they created. He is now given the opportunity to perform such a role. It's wonderful and completely new to him. Sharing the screen with Vikrant and Taapsee is a pleasure.
Sunny was excited to join the cast after getting a call from Kanika about the part. He claimed that Haseen Dillruba was a true pulp thriller. It's incredible to be a part of that environment.
Jayprad Desai will direct the sequel in place of Vinil Mathew. Vikrant, whose performance in the original movie received overwhelmingly positive reviews, can't stop raving about how the sequel is coming along.
After one and a half months of filming, they have completed their outdoor schedule. After returning to Mumbai, he promoted Gaslight.
Considering Desai, who is renowned for his work on Kaun Pravin Tambe, it's a thriller for Vikrant to work with him. He enjoyed reuniting with Taapsee, and Sunny has joined them as well. The movie is now much weirder, edgier, and pulpier. The actor is hoping the audience will enjoy watching them again as much as they did in the first instalment.
The first part released in 2021 featured Harshvardhan Rane as the main antagonist. The film premiered directly on Netflix.
