Here's what Tamil Rockerz director Arivazhagan has to say on his web series debut

Director Arivazhagan has taken the plunge into web series, with the thriller Tamil Rockerz, which stars Arun Vijay and Vani Bhojan in the lead. The series delves into the issue of digital piracy and how it affects the entertainment industry as a whole. The series began streaming today and is now airing on Sony LIV in five languages- Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi.

Talking about the experience directing a web series for the first time, Arivazhagan says that he has been very particular about the quality of the series. "I have been conscious of the visual quality to the grandeur, and the sound quality, right from the beginning. For a small-scale web series like this, and by small scale, I mean the medium. People watch a web series either on TV, devices, or at the most, a home theatre. So I did not take the audience for granted. Its not like they are going to watch only on their cellphones, so this quality is enough. We have to do our work correctly."

He added, "I was very particular that we have to give this web series, a filmic quality. The production side and my side, we were keen on making sure that the quality of anything cannot come down. From the scale to the post production quality, we have concentrated a lot. Moreover, for a 2.5 over movie or 8-epside web series, you have to keep the audiecne engaged. That is true success. So we have been clear that the engaging factor should not be reduced."

The show's supporting cast includes MS Bhaskar and Vinodhini Vaidyanathan. Manoj Kumar Kalaivanan has penned story and has also worked on the screenplay along with Rajesh Manjunath. As the title suggests, the plot of Tamil Rockerz revolves around a network of people who are into making pirated versions of new films. How a dedicated cop, Rudhra (Arun Vijay) who hates , sets out to trace the network forms the rest of the story.
