Here’s what Meesha Ghoshal had to say on playing Nambi Narayanan's daughter in R Madhavan’s Rocketry

Meesha Ghoshal, who plays Geetha, the daughter of scientist Nambi Narayanan, in R Madhavan's critically-acclaimed film, Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, said she can't thank her stars enough for getting the role.

Taking to Instagram, the actor posted pictures with Nambi Narayanan, a senior ISRO scientist, on whom the film's story is based.

Madhavan's debut directorial, Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, traces the life of Nambi Narayanan, an aerospace engineer who was caught in the throes of a spy scandal. The biographical drama unveils the truth behind the mystery.

The film is probably Madhavan's biggest project to date. It premiered recently at Cannes 2022 as part of the Market section.

In an interview, Madhavan had said he went to meet Nambi Narayanan, with quite a shallow James Bond-style idea that he's ashamed of now. “Someone told me that this is the case of a rocket scientist from ISRO who had an affair with a Maldivian woman, and was then arrested, tortured in jail and subsequently proved innocent,” the actor-director was quoted in the Hindu.

Released simultaneously in English, Tamil and Hindi, on July 1, Rajinikanth was the latest to heap praise on this one. “Rocketry is a movie that everyone has to watch, especially youngsters. The sacrifices and hardships of Padma Bhushan Sri Nambi Narayanan to develop the space research of India are wonderfully captured, represented and performed by Madhavan. With his very first directorial, he has joined the echelons of great filmmakers. I extend my gratitude and best wishes to Madhavan for giving us a film like this," the Superstar had written on Twitter.

Rocketry has music by Sam CS and stars Simran in a pivotal role. While the Tamil version of Rocketry featured Suriya in a cameo, the English and Hindi versions had Shah Rukh Khan playing the same role.
