Hera Pheri 3 New Update: No meeting with the producer or any indication of Akshay Kumar's interest in the film

After announcing that he wouldn't be appearing in the next instalment of the popular "Hera Pheri" franchise, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has been all over the news. Even though there were rumours that the filmmakers were attempting to persuade Kumar to join "Hera Pheri 3" on Monday, new reports suggest that the Sooryavanshi actor hasn't spoken to the director in the past ten days and has "no interest" in taking part in the movie.

E-Times claimed on Tuesday, "These are stories being spread by someone who desperately wants to make the project (Hera Pheri 3) much bigger than it is. Akshay has not met the producer. He has shown no interest in returning to Hera Pheri."

"Andar ki baat toh yeh hai ki Akshay Anees Bazmee ke saath comedy phir se karna chahte hai. Lekin Hera Pheri nahin. Bilkul nahin," a very close source of Akshay revealed, according to E-Times.

The news broke a day after rumours surfaced that director Firoz Nadiadwala had reinitiated conversations with Akshay Kumar in an attempt to persuade him to reprise his role as Raju.

Akshay Kumar had previously stated in November that he wouldn't be appearing in Hera Pheri 3. He also expressed his dissatisfaction with the script. “The film was offered to me but I was not satisfied with the script. I have to do what people want to see. That is why, I backed out. I took a step behind. It is a part of my life and journey for me. I am also very sad that I can’t do it. But I am not happy with how the creative things have shaped out," he said at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit 2022.

When Hera Pheri was released in 2000, it was a huge hit. Audience still continue to enjoy its timeless characters. Phir Hera Pheri, the 2006 sequel, managed to capture the charm of the original. Fans have been waiting for the franchise's third installment for some time.
