Released in 2012, Hemlock Society narrates the tale of a unique institution, where Ananda Kar (Parambrata Chatterjee) teaches aspirants how to commit suicide. When Meghna (Koel Mallick) enrolls as a student, their lives get intertwined, changing their destinies forever.

With a stellar cast in place, Hemlock Society is a satirical story, that brings out the best of all elements in a complete package - from humour to romance, from psychological dilemma to the very existence of life, from sarcastic references to a solid script, from specially-curated set design to commendable cinematography, and from critical to commercial success.

However, the movie became an audience favorite due to its enchanting tunes. Having composer Anupam Roy at the helm of music production, the film delivers a diverse platter of tunes, where no song is similar to another, each of them superseding our expectations. As a result, even nine years after its release, the film and its songs hold a special place in our hearts, making us groove to their beats.
