The first look will drop tomorrow, and while excitement is visible among many, some have expressed their disappointment about the cast. Again another expressed disappointment for waiting too long, and wrote, “dude sanjay leela bhansali is high key annoying. he needs to stop thinking so highly of himself. heeramandi heeramandi, 2 saal se sun rahi hu, abhi bhi inko "first look" nikaalne mei itna taam jhaam karna hai. i dont even care stfu, treat your artists right, that'd be better.”

Another wrote, “I don't understand if #Heeramandi is one of the largest produced shows for Netflix, then why they don't include the show in any of these Netflix events. Hoping for something on Heeramandi in this.”

Heeramandi story

Heeramandi tells the stories of women who worked as dancers for entertainment in a specially cursed part of India during a time when the country was fighting for freedom from British rule. The show follows the lives of these women and the people they knew, showing what life was like for them then. The series stars Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sharmin Segal and Sanjeeda Sheikh in the lead roles.
