Heeramandi's Song Sakal Ban Is Out!
While the first look teaser, the posters, and the recently glimpsed scenes have created a massive buzz around the show, the makers have now released the first song from the album titled Sakal Ban and the visual grandeur will only make you fall in love with SLB’s art. The filmmaker who recently launched his music label, Bhansali Music has now released the first song under the same name on its YouTube channel.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s world is, of course, primarily about the grand vision the filmmaker endorses, but it is also about the music that for the past four projects, the filmmaker has been composing himself. Sakal Ban from Netflix’s Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar comes in as the latest addition to the list of musical gems given by the filmmaker. After announcing the song's release yesterday, the streamer and Bhansali, under his label Bhansali Music, have now shared the video for his latest song, Sakal Ban. And you cannot take your eyes off the song.
The song Sakal Ban is a traditional composition sung by Raja Hasan and penned by the legendary poet Amir Khusro. The music video features the ladies of Heeramandi as they welcome a distressed Sharmin Sehgal, who is upset for a reason we will only know once the show releases. The video begins with Richa Chadha dancing and progresses to the rest of them joining her. The grand set and the bright yellow costumes are a reminder of spring, as the song also talks about one.
