Popular director VV Vinayak’s former associate Viswa is turning a director with a crime thriller titled Geetha. Hebah Patel and Sunil play the lead roles in the film produced by R Rachaiah under Grand Movies. Geetha is among the many small films that are testing their fortunes at the box office this weekend on October 14. Ahead of its release, VV Vinayak had a special message for team Geetha.
“I really hope my associate Viswa gains name and fame with Geetha and help his producer friend Rachaiah make a lot of money out of it. I wish the very best for the entire team and hope audiences like it,” he said recently. The makers of Geetha were naturally thrilled with the message and appreciated his gesture. Nuvve Kavali, Premichu fame Sai Kiran is the antagonist in the film.
Ram Karthik, Saptagiri, Rajeev Kanakala, Prudhviraj, Tanikella Bharani, Sandhya Janak, Surya, Lalitha, Priya, Meena Kumari, Jabardasth Apparao and others too play supporting roles. Subhash Anand has composed the songs in the film while S Chinna has come up with the background score. K Kranthi Kumar has cranked the camera and Upendra is the editor of the same.
VV Ramana is the co-director and JK Murthy is the art director respectively. Sagar has penned the songs while Aneesh is the choreographer. Earlier this year, another protege of VV Vinayak, Vassishta, debuted with the fantasy drama Bimbisara starring Kalyan Ram, Catherine Tresa and Samyuktha Menon in lead roles. The film emerged a blockbuster at the box office.
Meanwhile, VV Vinayak is gearing up for his Hindi cinema debut with the remake of Prabhas, Shriya Saran starrer Chatrapathi, originally helmed by SS Rajamouli. The latter’s father Vijayendra Prasad has reworked the story for the Hindi version. Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas and Nushrat Barucha are the leads in the untitled film that’s expected to hit screens later this year or early 2023.
