Heartstopper is back. Yes, Nick Nelson (played by Kit Connor) and Charlie Spring (Joe Locke) are coming back. The massive success of second season has led to Netflix announcing a third season of the show. The coming-of-age romantic-comedy drama is based on a webcomic by Alice Oseman. It navigates what relationships in LGBTQAI+ are like. The new season of the show will be out in October this year. The first episode, titled Love, is directed by Andy Newbery and Alice Oseman. All the episodes will release on Netflix, but there is a high possibility that they would not release at once.
What the new season will bring?
Things are getting steamier between Nick and Charlie. The tension is high – sexual tension and love. The young boys are still trying to figure out how to navigate life with one another and the third season will explore that in depth.

Whatever Charlie has gone through in the previous seasons has affected his sister, Tori Spring (Jenny Walser). She makes a new friend as well.
Tao Xu (William Gao) is figuring out what he loves to do and what his hobbies are. He finds something he really loves and doing that brings joy to people, which he loves.
Where season 2 ended
Nick finally accepted his sexuality and came out on Instagram. Elle Argent (Yasmin Finney) is now Tao’s girlfriend. Darcy Olsson (Kizzy Edgell) opens up to her girlfriend Tara Jones (Corinna Brown) about leaving home after a fight with her homophobic mother. Charlie recalls a traumatic experience with his boyfriend Nick. After some hesitation, Charlie agrees to never hide his experiences from his boyfriend. Thus, season 3 promises to bring more to the table, about how Nick and Charlie handle delicate situations together and how would Darcy and Tara survive in the situation at hand.
