Heart of Stone release date: When and where to watch Gal Gadot and Alia Bhatt's espionage thriller on OTT

Gal Gadot is taking action to new heights in her soon-to-be-released film, Heart of Stone. Earlier this year, the film's trailer debuted at Brazil's Tudum: Global Fan Event along with its premiere date. The film is set to release on August 11, 2023, on Netflix.

Talking about Heart of Stone, Gal plays covert operative Rachel Stone in the Tom Harper flick. But Stone is no ordinary agent; she is a member of the Charter, a secretive organisation of the world's most elite spies. In the trailer, we see them described as the most highly trained agents—no political leanings, no national allegiances—working together to keep peace in a turbulent world. Those agents need the one-of-a-kind resource known as the Heart in order to carry out their noble missions. 

Rachel Stone's MI6 counterpart, Parker, played by Jamie Dornan is also heard saying in the trailer that if one owns the Heart, they own the world. Moreover, the world is in danger because Keya Dhawan (Alia Bhatt) wants to uncover and control the Heart, and this sounds like a plan to her.

With Heart of Stone, Alia makes her much-anticipated Hollywood debut, soon after the success of her latest outing, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.

Meanwhile, Sophie Okonedo, Matthias Schweighöfer, Jing Lusi, and Paul Ready round out the cast of Heart of Stone.

As per TUDUM, Gal, who has already played a heroic goddess in Wonder Woman and a sophisticated heist queen in Red Notice, was adamant that Rachel Stone be a more realistic character. Her character's ability to fight, as well as use her mind, instincts, and emotions, was crucial to the character, she told Netflix. Rachel doesn't go in there all guns blazing or anything. When acting, she considers the consequences for those around her. Gal tries to cast herself in parts that demonstrate that attractiveness and strength are not antithetical qualities in women.

Talking about The Heart, it is the most advanced artificial intelligence in existence, capable of memorising and analysing an individual's complete digital footprint in order to foresee their future actions. It can provide guidance on how to respond to future global dangers and even provide odds on the success of those solutions. The Charter is meant to address such concerns.
