We had earlier reported that actor Harish Kalyan would be starring in a film titled Lubber Pandhu. The makers on Saturday took to social media to unveil a special poster for the occasion of the actor's birthday. Lubber Pandhu is a cricket-based sports drama also starring Attakathi Dinesh in the lead role.

Team Lubber Pandhu wished the lead actor of the upcoming Tamil film a happy birthday by releasing a poster of him. We get a glimpse of Harish Kalyan’s character from the film. The poster shows a smiling Harish Kalyan walking along with a group of people. In the backdrop, a Chennai Super Kings banner is seen.
Lubber Pandhu is a cricket-based emotional drama directed by debutant filmmaker Tamizharasan Pachamuthu. Besides Harish Kalyan, the film also features actor Attakathi Dinesh as a male lead. The film will focus on street cricket, which is common in India, and will have a lighthearted and emotional take on it.

Actors Swaswika and Sanjana Krishnamoorthy will be playing the female leads in the film. Lubber Pandhu will also mark the filmmaker’s directorial debut. The technical crew consists of music composer Sean Roldan, cinematographer Dinesh Purushothaman and G Madan as the editor.
A release date for the film is yet to be announced. However, the director revealed that Lubber Pandhu is a dedication to the late and veteran actor Vijayakanth, with Dinesh playing a fan of the late actor. Tamizharasan also said that the film will be loaded with Vijayakanth’s references.
Meanwhile, Harish Kalyan was last seen in the 2023 film Parking. The drama film, which also starred MS Bhaskar in the lead role, was one of the critically acclaimed films of the year. It revolves around the ego between two men who cannot compromise on sharing a parking lot. The film is streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
