Actor Disha Patani, who is celebrating her birthday today (June 13), received a special gift from the makers of her upcoming film Kalki 2898 AD. The team released a special poster of the actor's character from the film on social media. Disha plays the character of Roxie in the film.

Disha Patani, who was last seen in Yodha, is part of the upcoming star-studded Telugu film Kalki 2898 AD. The film is scheduled to release on June 27 and has already created much anticipation among audiences after its recent trailer release.

On Thursday, the makers released a new character poster for Disha on the occasion of her birthday. The actor plays Roxie in Kalki 2898 AD. The poster features a toned Disha, clad in a black jacket and pants, as she leans against a wall with a door by her side. The backdrop suggests it is a shipping dock.

Disha, who made her acting debut with Telugu film Loafer in 2015, will once again return to the industry with Kalki 2898 AD. The film is directed by director Nag Ashwin and is one of the most expensive projects ever made in Telugu cinema.

Kalki 2898 AD is headlined by actor Prabhas. Besides him, the film also features Hindi actors Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone, Tamil actors Pasupathy and a special cameo appearance by Kamal Haasan, and others like Shobhana and Anna Ben.

The trailer for the film was released recently and revealed that Kalki 2898 AD will be a sci-fi dystopian film which will be set in futuristic times. Combining elements from Hindu epics like Mahabharata, Amitabh Bachchan will be playing the role of Ashwatthama from the epic, an immortal character, while Deepika Padukone plays an expecting mother who will be giving birth to the chosen one. Kamal Haasan is rumoured to play the primary antagonist, who will have more screen time in the film’s sequel.
