Has Sunny Deol signed a whopping Rs. 50 crore deal for Border 2? Here’s what we know

Looking back in time, it was exactly on 15 June 2001, when a film titled ‘Gadar’ was released. Thanks to the extremely strong word of mouth publicity at that time, the film eventually went onto become one of the blockbusters in Bollywood. It took the film’s makers as many as around 22 full years to come up with the film’s sequel titled ‘Gadar 2’. On the day and date of 11 August 2023, ‘Gadar 2’ got released. Ever since the word go, the film has been on a mega record-breaking spree.

Sunny Deol- the common factor

Besides the other common factors, one of the main common factors that truly binds the two films is the towering presence of Sunny Deol in these two films. With ‘Gadar 2’ proving to be a goldmine at the box office, Sunny Deol has truly become a red-hot property in Bollywood. All the eyes are now trained on Sunny Deol’s next film. As per a source base report in Bollywood Hungama, it has been reported that Sunny Deol has now earned a mega deal to the tune of staggering Rs. 50 crores for the film ‘Border 2’.

Sunny Deol strikes gold?

The same story added that, besides the aforesaid remuneration, Sunny Deol will also be getting a share from the profits that will be earned by the film’s producers. It has also been reported that Sunny Deol will now be starting the film shoot of ‘Border 2’ in the second half of next year (2024). Besides Sunny Deol, ‘Border 2’ will star Ayushmann Khurrana, Ahan Shetty and Ammy Virk. Rest of the film’s details of ‘Border 2’ have been strictly kept under the wraps, which also includes the name of the film’s director.

As for the original film ‘Border’, it was directed by J. P. Dutta and starred an array of stars including Sunny Deol, Jackie Shroff, Suniel Shetty, Akshaye Khanna, Pooja Bhatt, Tabu and others. The film was released on 13 June 1997.
