That Potterheads have a spinoff TV series to the original wizarding movie franchise is news they have kept close to their hearts for a very long time. Yes, we are talking about the Harry Potter TV series that is in the making at Warner Bros as we speak. The studio is leaving no stone unturned to make the series a big hit. We’ve been hearing a lot of rumors about it, but if the hints are accurate, while the show has Harry Potter fans excited, there’s also an upsetting update that suggests we may never see Fantastic Beasts 4 and 5. The reason is the TV series if the latest hints dropped by Jude Law are any indication.

Harry Potter TV Series Killed The Fantastic Beasts' Future

Yes, you read that right! According to Jude Law’s recent comments on the future of the two remaining films in the Fantastic Beasts franchise, it’s clear the studio is prioritizing the Harry Potter TV series over everything else right now, which isn’t surprising. The series is a spinoff to a film franchise that has brought $8 billion to the company across eight movies, and a TV series based on it will undoubtedly be significant.

“I know it’s certainly on hold,” Law told Variety. “My guess would be that, now that they’re doing Harry Potter as a TV show, they’ll probably put their energy into that. I certainly haven’t heard that there’s anything on the horizon.” Jude Law played young Dumbledore in two out of three films in the Fantastic Beasts franchise.

And that’s as far as I know. I mean, you’d have to speak to the people at Warner Bros. and J.K. Rowling, but as far as I know, that’s it.”
