Harish Kalyan, who was last seen in the 2023 critically acclaimed film Parking, has announced a new film recently. The actor will be seen collaborating once again with the makers of Parking for a yet-to-be titled film. The announcement was made on Saturday for the occasion of Harish Kalyan's birthday.

Harish Kalyan announces new film

Harish Kalyan will be reuniting with the makers of Parking for a new film. It will be bankrolled by Passion Studios and directed by filmmaker V Vignarajan of Andhaghaaram fame. However, more details of the film, additional cast and crew members are yet to be announced by the makers. The upcoming will mark the first time Harish Kalyan will be collaborating with filmmaker Vignarajan.

Harish Kalyan had earlier worked with the production banner for 2023 Tamil film Parking. The thriller drama released in December last year and also stars MS Bhaskar in the lead role. Directed by Ramkumar Balakrishnan, Parking is about two men who live in the same apartment and have an ego clash surrounding a car parking lot. The rest of the film deals with the male egoistic psyche and how it affects the men. The film, which opened to positive reception, is available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. 

Harish Kalyan’s next

Harish Kalyan is currently working in cricket-based sports drama titled Lubber Pandhu. The makers had released a special poster of the actor recently. Also starring actors Attakathi Dinesh, Sanjana, Bala Saravanan, Kaali Venkat, and Swasika Vijay, among others, the film is directed by debutant filmmaker Tamizharasan Pachamuthu. A release date for the film is yet to be announced by the makers.

The film will focus on street cricket, which is common in India and will have a lighthearted and emotional take. The film’s technical crew consists of music composer Sean Roldan, cinematographer Dinesh Purushothaman and G Madan as the editor. Lubber Pandhu is produced by S Lakshman Kumar of Prince Pictures.
