Remember the nerdy Tyson who fell in love with his college senior in Happy Days? Actor Rahul Dayakiran made a name for himself with a pitch-perfect portrayal of the role as a geek in the musical blockbuster directed by Sekhar Kammula with the right amount of innocence, vulnerability and wit. Rahul starred in a flurry of films in the coming years, including Rainbow, Mugguru, Love You Bangaram and Venkatapuram, though they didn't manage to set the box office on fire. The actor, who turns a year older today, is now on a comeback trail and has confirmed about signing two big projects.

Rahul will be seen soon in films titled AKA and Ghoda, produced by UV Creations and V Celluloid respectively. The official handle of V Celluloid, confirming his collaboration for Ghoda, had also wished, "A very happiest birthday to @RAAHULTYSON sir From V celluloid." V Celluloid is another division of the popular banner UV Creations, meant to produce content-driven films. The actor has also bulked up his physique for his other project, AKA (produced by UV Creations) and has been constantly sharing updates about his fitness routine in the recent months.

Thanking the production houses and his directors on his birthday, Rahul posted, "This Year is gonna be Mad where all my HardWork and Patience will pay BIG.I promise u..thanks to my directors Prashant and Pradeep and most importantly UV Creations V Celluloid fr making this happen.Sunil sir #UVVamsi garu #UVPramod garu #UVVicky sir .C U at the Movies.." Expectedly, the actor has pinned his hopes on these films and is sure that they'll help him bounce back with a bang. It isn't known if they are OTT-based projects or meant for theatrical releases.

Rahul's last release, Venkatapuram, in 2017, earned decent reviews upon release, with critics having high words of praise for the unusual plot and the strong performances. The film, also starring Mahima Makwana and Ajay, was directed by Venu Madikanti.
