It's filmmaker Magizh Thirumeni's birthday today and the actor is celebrating the occasion on the sets of his upcoming film, Vidaa Muyarchi, which stars Ajith and Trisha in the lead. Here are four interesting films by the director.

Thadaiyara Thaakka (2012)
The film revolves around a young man, who owns a travel agency. He dreams of making it big, but things take a different turn, after he crosses paths with a loan shark. Arun Vijay and Mamta Mohandas play the lead in the crime thriller. The supporting cast includes Vamsi Krishna, Rakul Preet Singh, Aruldoss, Murugadoss, and Kaali Venkat. The film opened to good reviews from the critics and audience.

Meaghamann (2013)
The action thriller has an ensemble cast comprising  Arya, Hansika Motwani, Ashutosh Rana, Sudhanshu Pandey, Ramana, Ashish Vidyarthi, Mahadevan and Harish Uthaman to name a few. The plot revolves around an undercover cop who is on a mission to make a gangster come out of hiding. The film opened to positive reviews and became a commercial success at the box office.

Thadam (2019)
This crime thriller had Arun Vijay in a dual role and marked the debut of Tanya and Smruthi. When a young man is murdered, it creates confusion among cops after they find out that the suspect is a lookalike. The star cast also comprises Sonia Aggarwal, Vijayan, Yogi Babu, George and Meera Krishnan. The film emerged as one of the highest-grossing films of the year in the state.

Kalaga Thalaivan (2022)
A financial analyst's world turns upside down, when he collides with a mysterious deadly group headed by a ruthless killer. The film stars Udhayanidhi Stalin, Arav, Nidhhi Agerwal and Kalaiyarasan. The film marked the fourth collaboration between Magizh Thirumeni and NB Srikanth after Thadaiyara Thaakka, Meaghamann and Thadam. The film opened to positive reviews from the audience.
