Hansika Motwani, who returned to Telugu cinema with the Srinivas Omkar-directed redemption thriller My Name is Shruthi last year, is back with another release in the industry. She’ll kickstart 2024 with a Republic Day (January 26) release titled 105 Minutes, a single shot-thriller helmed by newcomer Raju Dussa. The film is expected to clash with Ravi Teja’s Eagle (pushed from January 13). Bommak Shiva bankrolled the film under Rudransh Celluloid.

105 Minutes isn’t only filmed in a single shot but also features a single character. The shoot of the thriller was wrapped up in 2021 and it took the production house some time to finalise the pre-release business deals and the OTT partner. The makers, in the new poster of the film, also shared that the trailer of 105 Minutes will be launched soon.

In an earlier statement, the composer Sam CS shared it was quite a challenge to score the music for a single-shot film. The team believes Hansika has delivered one of her career-best performances in 105 Minutes. The post-production formalities of the thriller were wrapped up as early as 2022. The release timing is still ideal for the film, especially after praise for Hansika in My Name is Shruthi.

The motion poster of 105 Minutes was unveiled a long time ago. At an earlier press meet, while talking about the project, Hansika said, “When I signed the film, I thought it may not be a big deal to do a single character film. It is by far the toughest project in my career. The way the director narrated the story and treated the subject is amazing.”

The technicians in the film have worked as hard as me, Hansika said and congratulated the producer for backing such an experimental script. “It’s a matter of pride for me to take up such a challenging film.” Kishore Boyadapu cranked the camera for the film while Brahma Kadali is the art director and Shyam Vadalli is the editor respectively.
