Hansika returns to Telugu cinema with My Name is Shruti

Actress Hansika, who was last seen in the comedy Tenali Ramakrishna BA BL opposite Sundeep Kishan, is returning to Telugu cinema with a female-oriented film titled My Name is Shruti. The actress plays the lead role in the film that comes with the tagline 'The Hidden Truth'. Produced by Ramya Burugu and Nagender Raju under Vaishnavi Arts, My Name is Shruti is directed by D Srinivas Omkar. The film is a thriller in the offing with a non-linear screenplay whose first schedule was wrapped recently.

The director assures that Hansika will be seen in a 'never seen before role' of a strong woman who withstands all the challenges that come her way with confidence. My Name is Shruti will keep the audiences hooked to the screens throughout its run time, he adds. The film's second schedule will commence in the second week of August. Murali Sharma, Jayaprakash, Aadukalam Naren, Raja Raveendra play crucial roles in the film which has cinematography by Kishore Boidapu, music by Mark K Robin and will be edited by Chota K Prasad.

My Name is Shruti is also written (and directed) by D Srinivas Omkar. Apart from this film, Hansika is awaiting the release of her Tamil film (incidentally the 50th film of her career) Maha for a long time now, where Simbu will be seen in a special appearance. She shares screen space with Aadhi in another Tamil film titled Partner. Hansika has been active with her Youtube channel lately, sharing videos that provide a glimpse into her daily life, aspects that she holds close to her heart.
