Voot Select reveals that beginning March 24, 2022, it will be exclusively streaming the Paramount+ original series sci-fi phenomenon Halo, continuing to deliver a vibrant palette of varied genres in its stronghold repertoire. Halo is based on one of the most popular sci-fi video games of all time, and it will be set in the universe that began in 2001 with the release of Xbox's Halo game. It dramatizes an epic war between humanity and an alien threat known as the Covenant in the 26th century.
The new nine-episodic series' action-packed fight scenes and thrilling cinematography will keep fans on the edge of their seats. Pablo Schreiber (Orange is the New Black) stars as Spartan-117's Master Chief; Natascha McElhone (The Truman Show) stars as Dr. Halsey, the brilliant, conflicted, and cryptic inventor of the Spartan super troops; and Jen Taylor stars as Cortana, the most advanced AI in human history. Bokeem Woodbine, Shabana Azmi, Natasha Culzac, Olive Grey, Yerin Ha, Bentley Kalu, Kate Kennedy, Charlie Murphy, and Danny Sapani all have important appearances in the series. Ryan McParland, Burn Gorman, and Fiona O'Shaughnessy also join the cast as new characters.
