Gypsy stars Naomi Watts and Billy Crudup are now married!

British actress Naomi Watts has tied the knot with her long-time beau, Hollywood actor Billy Crudup. The two were seen together in Netflix’s psychological thriller drama series, Gypsy, created by Lisa Rubin. Rumours of their marriage have been making the rounds lately. On June 11, the King Kong actress took to social media to make her wedding to Billy official with a picture of the couple.    

“Hitched! 🕊️🪢♥️”, she wrote on Instagram, alongside a photograph of herself and Billy, outside a Manhattan courthouse together. For what seemed like a low-key, intimate ceremony, Naomi picked a semi-sheer white lace Oscar de la Renta midi dress, styled with a diamond necklace and gold sandals. The Almost Famous actor, on the other hand, wore a navy suit with a white dress shirt underneath. 

Later, Naomi shared more pictures on her Instagram story, flaunting her bouquet of white flowers and her simple yet stunning wedding outfit, complemented by her soft curls, rosy cheeks and glossy pink lips. In another snap, possibly taken inside the courthouse, she addressed Billy as ‘hubby’.

While the couple’s fans, friends and colleagues continued to congratulate them, what caught our attention was a candid loved-up shot of Naomi and Billy shared by the ‘Hulk’ Mark Ruffalo. “Congratulations on the nuptials @NaomiWatts and @whatsthisdealdo (Billy Crudup). We love you guys”, he captioned the picture on Instagram. 

Meanwhile, Gwyneth Paltrow wrote, “Yipeeeeeee!!!! Sending so much love!!”, and Jennifer Coolidge added, “Hooray!!! Just woke up to this !!!!!👏👏👏👏Congrats!!! 🎸🎸💋💋🍾🍾You two couldn’t look happier !!! XO”.

Although Naomi and Billy were romantically linked right after the release of Gypsy in 2017, the couple went public with their relationship only at the 2022 Screen Actors Guild Awards. Naomi was previously married to American actor-director Liev Schreiber, with whom she has two children. Meanwhile, Billy has a son with his former partner, American actress Mary Louise Parker.
