Helmed by Chung Dong-yoon and Roh Young-sub, the highly awaited season 2 of period thriller and horror K-drama Gyeongseong Creature has dropped on Netflix. Many fans binge-watched the series on Friday after the release and shared their reactions on social media. Starring the formidable team of popular actors Park Seo-jun and Han So-hee, this gripping thriller has been making waves ever since its announcement. Read on to get a glimpse of the latest X reactions...

Gyeongseong Creature S2 X review

Netflix’s latest K-drama is brimming with unexpected plot twists and fans are overwhelmed with the narrative. Several X (formerly Twitter) users have shared their first reactions after watching the second season of this gripping period horror. While many fans loved the fast-paced storyline, some were all hearts for the special flashback sequence.

Unlike season 1, the latest season 2 is set in the bustling streets of Seoul in 2024. The fast-paced narrative with intense secrets about the Najin-possessed humans will keep you at the edge of your seats.

Comparing the two seasons, fans lauded Season 2 for more twists and turns as it served a delightful and entertaining watch.

One user shared, “Gyeongseong Creature 2 was way better than the first season I ended up enjoying it alot more. If they released just this season and added more flashbacks, it really could've been its own thing.”

Another wrote, “I watched season 1 of #GyeonseongCreature somewhat reluctantly but got super invested. Season 2 is way more fast-paced, and gives exactly what I’ve always wanted from older K-dramas like Gu Family Book and Scarlet Heart Ryeo, who promised conclusions they never delivered.”

Some users also expressed their desire to binge-watch the series over the weekend. While others have been sharing countdowns since yesterday. Take a look at the other interesting reactions here:

About Gyeongseong Creature 2

Penned by Dr. Romantic-fame Kang Eun-Kyung, Gyeongseong Creature 2 premiered on Netflix on September 27. The makers released the second installment with all seven episodes. Each one clocks nearly 50 minutes and is packed with mystery and suspense.

For the unversed, Gyeongseong Creature released the first season in two parts: while Part 1 was dropped in December, the second part premiered in January.

If you haven’t watched the first season, the flashback sequences will serve as a refresher for you. The plot of the previous season was set in 1945 against the backdrop of the Japanese occupation and colonial rule. From mysterious abductions to the dungeons of Ongseong Hospital and unethical experiments, it unraveled secrets and the unintended consequences of human greed.
