GV Prakash's Bachelor joins the list of Tamil films to hit the screens on December 3

We had reported recently that Thalli Pogathey, starring Atharvaa and Anupama Parameswaran in lead roles, will have a theatrical release on December 3, contrary to the earlier rumours of it having a direct OTT release. Similarly, Anti Indian, which has been helmed by popular YouTuber Elamaran aka Blue Satta Maran, is also releasing on the same date. 

Now, another Tamil movie has joined the fray, making December 3 a hot date among movie buffs and industry insiders. GV Prakash-starrer Bachelor, directed by Sathish Selvakumar, is the movie which has joined the bandwagon. 

The rom-com, which has Dhibu Ninan Thomas composing music, features debutant Divya Bharathi in the female lead. Theni Eswar has cranked the camera for the project which has editing by San Lokesh. The first look of the movie was unveiled more than a couple of years ago and its teaser was released earlier this year.

The team has released two lyric videos from the movie as well so far. Bachelor, which has GV Prakash playing an obsessive lover, was initially supposed to release on February 14 this year. 

Earlier, the movie was in the news when many pointed out the similarity its teaser shared with Tollywood hit film Arjun Reddy (streaming on Disney+ Hotstar). But the director quashed such comparisons and went on to say that Bachelor is different from the Telugu movie in every aspects. 

Meanwhile, another project of GV Prakash, Jail, directed by Vasantha Balan, obtained U/A certificate from the Censor Board. The announcement of its theatrical release will be made soon.
