Guruvayoor Amabalanadayil – Prithviraj Sukumaran and Basil Joseph’s film to release in May 2024?

Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil, the comedy entertainer, is now nearing the final stages of filming. The movie, which stars Prithviraj Sukumaran and Basil Joseph in the lead roles, recently won the internet with its promising first-look poster. The highly anticipated project marks Prithviraj’s first onscreen collaboration with both Basil and director Vipin Das, who is best known for the 2022-released film Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey. Now, sources close to Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil suggest that the makers are planning to have a summer release for the film.

Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil to hit theatres in May 2024?

If the latest reports are to be believed, director Vipin Das and his team are now planning to release the highly anticipated project in May 2024. As per the latest updates, the final schedule of Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil will start rolling in February this year, after leading man Prithviraj Sukumaran wraps up the ongoing UK schedule of his third directorial venture, L2 Empuraan . If things go as planned, the team will wrap up the entire filming of the comedy entertainer in March 2024.

Director Vipin Das and his team are planning to kickstart the post-production work on the film immediately after completing the entire filming process. In that case, it is safe to assume that Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil will indeed hit theatres by the second half of May 2024. However, a final decision on the release will be made only after the team officially wraps up the production of the film.

In many of their recent interviews, both Prithviraj Sukumaran and Basil Joseph revealed that Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil is going to be a complete fun entertainer, which is set in the backdrop of a wedding. The Lucifer director is playing a unique role with negative shades in the film , which features the Minnal Murali director as the protagonist, the groom. Nikhil Vimal is reportedly appearing as the wife of Prithviraj’s character in the film, which features Anaswara Rajan as the bride-to-be.

Popular Tamil actors Yogi Babu, Jagadish, Rekha Harris, Baiju Santhosh, Kottayam Ramesh, Irshad, and others essay the supporting roles. Deepu Pradeep has penned the screenplay. Neeraj Ravi is the director of photography. Ankit Menon composes the songs and the original score. The highly anticipated project is jointly produced by Supriya Menon, Mukesh R Mehta, and CV Sarathi under the banners of Prithviraj Productions and E4 Entertainment.
