Gurthunda Seethakalam: Satyadev, Tamannaah starrer to hit theatres in February 2022

It'll be a double dhamaka for actress Tamannaah in February 2022, with two of her films gearing up for release in theatres in the same month. While her film, F3, where she co-stars Venkatesh, Varun Tej and Mehreen has already confirmed its berth for February 25, 2022, the actress' romantic drama Gurthunda Seethakalam will also hit theatres in February 2022. Gurthunda Seethakalam, a film directed by Nagashekar, has her teaming alongside Satyadev Kancharana. The project is the Telugu remake of the Kannada romance, Love Mocktail. 

"Winter & love stories couldn't have asked for a better combination #gurthundaseethakalam releasing in theatres near you on February 2022!," Satyadev posted on his Twitter handle. Satyadev and Tamannaah, cast in the roles of Dev and Nidhi in the same, warmly embrace one another in the poster that announces the release date. The filming of Gurthunda Seethakalam took off in August 2020 and is almost complete now. The story revolves around a corporate employee, who is desperate to find true love and move beyond his past. 

Kavya Shetty, Megha Akash, Suhasini Maniratnam essay supporting roles in the film. Kaala Bhairava is composing the music score for the project for which Satya Hegde is cranking the camera. Ace technician Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao is editing the film. Apart from the Nagashekar, the film is co-produced by Bhavana Ravi, Ramarao Chintapalli under Nagashekar Movies, Manikanta Entertainments and Sri Vedaakshara Movies. 

The original version, Love Mocktail (currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video), starred Krishna, Milana Nagaraj and Amrutha Iyengar in pivotal roles and hit theatres in January 2020. Some of the other Telugu films slated to release in February 2022 include Acharya, Major, Khiladi, 18 Pages. Looks like it's going to be a tight race for all the movies involved.
