And there is something about the promo video that's a little off. It's hard to put the figure on what it is but one can feel the promo video offers very little to inspire our confidence in its substance and quality.
Unless you are a die-hard fan of Mahesh Babu, it's very unlikely that the teaser for Guntur Kaaram might have struck a chord with you. What was the teaser aiming to achieve? It wanted to show us that Mahesh has swag and looks good in slow-motion shots? Or that Mahesh can beat up a truckload of guys without breaking into a sweat? But let's face it, Mahesh is already a seasoned superstar who has mastered these aspects better than most in the industry. So, what's truly fresh and distinctive about his character in Guntur Kaaram?
Based on the teaser, it seems if you are not anything less than a hardcore fan, you have nothing to look forward to for this movie. The editing seems lacklustre, leaving one to wonder if the editor accidentally hit the render button without completing the job. Did the filmmakers really expect viewers to be thrilled by the sight of Mahesh smoking a beedi? Have our expectations from filmmakers like Trivikram hit rock bottom?

The resemblances to Allu Arjun's character in Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo are hard to ignore. From the beedi-smoking to the headdress made of a handtowel, it's clear that the echoes of Bantu's character are reverberating in Guntur Kaaram.
It appears that Trivikram borrowed the climax idea from Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo and expanded it into a full-length feature film.
